First off, I would like to say something about American Idol. I can understand why some artists think it's the easy way into getting fame, but it's not like we're untalented and just got a contract. (Please exclude Sir William Hung) No. We worked our asses off 7 days a week. 7 days a week for at least 4 months straight. It's not like we all sat around eating patato chips and played video games. You had to put your all into it or else you're out.
Second, American Idol is a VOCAL CONTEST. Talent search, or call it whatever you want. But take JoJo for example. The new 13 year old girl just won a child talent contest and got her contract and became number #1 on TRL. Star Search is basically the same thing. If you're good, than you win and you're on your way to fame if you have what it takes. Brittney, Christina, and Destiny's Child, were on it and they're doing well for themselves. But of course, they got the easy way into fame too, right? NO! And the Mickey Mouse Club, you had to audition to be on it too. And you had to have talent. That was a TV show that helped promote the artists career. So I'm saying that, American Idol is just like those shows.
And last, we've been judged enough through out the competition, thanks to the judges. I really would appreciate it if you didn't judge us before you know what we're about. Especially since you're the inspiration to all of this. In case you didn't know, my first CD I bought myself was a NSYNC CD, and my first concert was to see you. Oh and guess who my favorite male pop artist is?
So Thank you and good day.
